Learning From My Betting Failures

1st to clarify the reason I wrote this article. I have been wagering on the web or at land-based casinos for a great many years. I have discovered, the addiction can take a hold of you and you won’t even realize it until you are flat broke. Particularly if you are on a winning streak. I’ve gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go too far. It seems you are just having a blast until you start to be aware of your losses and the guilt sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can earn it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you become sick in your gut and the more you try the faster you are deprived.

When you notice that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, do not say to yourself, "well just maybe one more" and over and over again, trust me, this logic RARELY ever works. Say you are betting on slot games, have an amount set aside before beginning your play. Don’t exceed that boundary, regardless how appealing. If you actually win, put that in a separate pot. Don’t risk your successes no matter what. Once you’ve gambled through your original set limit, bail out. Leave, whether it is on the web or at a land-based betting house, don’t stick around. Always remember, there will be a different day, another time.

Remember, gambling is supposed to be FUN not exhausting, sickening work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan’t manage the loss, don’t even begin.
